Formula One Makes Doughnuts Legal…For Winners

In case you happened to miss it, three-time defending champion Sebastian Vettel won a whole bunch of races in the Formula One racing season last year and after a few of them, he performed some rubber-stripping doughnuts in celebration. For this blatant display of unbridled joy, Vettel received several insignificant $36,000 fines every time he was happy to win a race. But now, Formula One has relented and made it legal to perform celebratory doughnuts after races in the 2014 season – but only if you have won the race and don’t endanger people or delay the podium awards and a few other things…but it’s okay to perform doughnuts in 2014 as long as you are the race winner.

The 2014 Formula One race season begins with the Australian Grand Prix on March 15, 2014.
