Formula One just made Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen’s day – effectively banning all radio assistance relating to performance of the race car during a race. Raikkonen, who famously blasted his engineers in the pits while driving for Lotus, is not the only one who will benefit from the lack of radio assistance, as some of the veteran drivers are expected to be the main beneficiaries of the new mid-season rule change.
Additionally, no non-radio race tactic, car performance data may be electronically transmitted to drivers as well.
