The semi-documentary “Framing John Delorean” feature film from IFC Films will be released this Friday, June 7, 2019.
The film stars Alec Baldwin as Delorean, the General Motors executive responsible for the development of iconic American muscle cars like the Pontiac GTO and Firebird before turning entrepreneur and founding his own DeLorean Motor Company, which was forever cemented in film history as the time machine of choice in “Back to the Future” — and which nearly turned out to be a refrigerator.
The story tells of his three marriages but it was his third wife, supermodel Cristina Ferrare played by Morena Baccarin], who was his strongest supporter until his bust for an enormous cocaine deal [real life surveillance tape footage of DeLorean’s bust is shown in the film].
