German Grand Prix Disappears From 2015 Formula One Schedule

The German Grand Prix has officially been dropped from the 2015 Formula One schedule. Originally scheduled to be held on July 26 at the famed Nurburgring track, the race was dropped because the Nurburgring’s new owners did not have a contract with Formula One to hold the race and last year’s site – Hockenheim – was not prepared to hold this year’s race.

The official 2015 race schedule will now have 19 races instead of 20 with no replacement planned for the German Grand Prix.

The 2015 Formula One season continues with the Malaysian Grand Prix in Kuala Lumpur on March 29, 2015.
