Due to contractual reasons, former Ferrari top Formula One driver Fernando Alonso could not reveal which team he was moving to in 2015 until December 1. But King Juan Carlos of Spain – a good friend of Alonso’s – had no such agreement and blurted out after the season-ending race at Abu Dhabi over the weekend, that Alonso had informed him that the former Spanish world champion would be moving to McLaren and their Honda engines next year.
