Haas has launched their car for the 2021 Formula One season with Russian driver Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher – son of Formula 1 legend, Michael – behind the wheels of the two cars.
The 22-year-old Mazepin Haas is primarily in one of the driver’s seats due to the fact that Haas’s new main sponsor is a fertilizer company owned by Mazepin’s billionaire father, Dmitry. Mazepin has never won any racing series he has entered – with his best finishes being second in GP3 in 2018, third in F3 in 2019 and fifth in F2 last season.
Mazepin’s teammate, however, is Mick Schumacher, son of seven-time champion Michael. The 21-year-old won the Formula 2 championship last year and will be making his first career start in F1 at the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 30, 2021.
