Haas Signs Nico Hulkenberg For 2023

Haas has announced the signing of veteran Formula One driver, Nico Hulkenberg, to drive for the team in the 2023 season. Hulkenberg is reportedly replacing Mick Schumacher and will be paired with Haas’ Danish driver, Kevin Magnussen.

Hulkenberg, 35, last drove full-time for Renault in 2019 and has been used as a replacement driver since then for the Racing Point/Aston Martin team. Prior to that, Hulkenberg raced for four teams in 181 races and snagged one pole position [in 2010] and no podium finishes with his best season finish being seventh in 2018 for Renault.

Meanwhile, Schumacher – the son of seven-time Formula 1 world champion, Michael Schumacher – has only scored a measly 12 points in the 2022 F1 season so far and has mostly been a non-factor in races for Haas this year.
