On Day Three of the final 2015 Formula One testing session on the Catalunya track in Barcelona, Spain, defending champion Lewis Hamilton finally turned in the fastest lap at a testing session. Mercedes had been sandbagging for much o the previous testing sessions until Hamilton’s teammate, Nico Rosberg, clocked the fastest lap time on Day Two of the recent testing session in Barcelona and Hamilton has now followed that up with his own fastest lap of 1:23.0 on Day Three.
After Hamilton came Williams’ Felipe Massa, turning in a 1:23.2 and Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen a distant third at 1:25.2.
The first race of the 2015 Formula One racing season takes place in Melbourne, Australia on March 15, 2015.
