Hammond Wrecks Motorcycle In Mozambique – Reports Himself To Be ‘Not Dead’

Richard Hammond – one-third of the best motoring show on the planet, “The Grand Tour” – was involved in a motorcycle accident in Mozambique while filming an episode for the upcoming second season of “The Grand Tour”. Hammond reportedly wrecked his motorcycle and sustained a head injury that left him laying unconscious in the road. However, Hammond was revived and claims he is “not dead.”

Eleven years ago, while filming an episode for the dearly departed previous “Top Gear” series, Hammond was behind the wheel of a Vampire jet-dragster that crashed after achieving 288 miles per hour and left him with some brain injuries [that he eventually recovered from].

Hammond made a statement on the accident, saying – “It’s true, I did fall off a motorbike whilst filming recently for The Grand Tour in Mozambique. I banged my head, yes, along with pretty much everything else apart from my left thumb, which remains un-bruised. Can’t tell you more yet about the how and why of it; that’s all for later in the year on the show. As for injuries; well put it this way, I don’t think I can get a book out of it.”
