Harvick Wins At Dover And Advances In NASCAR’s Chase Playoff


Kevin Harvick won the third race in NASCAR’s Chase series playoff at Dover and advanced to the second round with the victory. Harvick led 354 laps of the 400-lap race to claim the third automatic spot in the second round, but while Harvick was moving on, Jimmie Johnson was being eliminated along with Clint Bowyer, Jamie McMurray and Paul Menard – with McMurray being ousted on a tiebreaker with Dale Earnhardt, Jr..

Harvick joins Matt Kenseth and Denny Hamlin as automatic qualifiers for the 12-driver second round.
