Herta Apparently Dunked By Integrity Energee Sponsorship

Bryan Herta Autosport aligned itself with Integrity Energee [an energy drink] as its major sponsor for the 2014 IndyCar racing season but failed to receive the promised amount of sponsorship money [namely, $2 million] – instead, only receiving $470,000. This lack of sufficient financing hampered his racing season and Herta has now filed a lawsuit against Integrity Assets Group – the main company behind the energy drink and alleged to be a Ponzi scheme – to collect the remaining $1.53 million owed to him and his company for the sponsorship debacle.

Herta’s driver – Dan Wheldon – won the Indianapolis 500 in 2011 and then tragically died later that year in a crash at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
