Last seen pulling up the rear at the Indianapolis 500, J.R. Hildebrand returns to the Brickyard for a chance at redemption for the 2011 race which he seemingly had won until a last turn crash relegated him to the runner-up position behind the late Dan Wheldon. Hildebrand will be given the chance to re-try his luck at Indy because he has been rewarded with the second car [#21] in the Ed Carpenter Racing stable. ECR is coming off a win at Long Beach last week but it will be a tough chore for Hildebrand who finished second in 2011 at the Indy 500, 14th in 2012 and then wound up in last place in 2013.
The Indianapolis 500 will be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana, on May 25, 2014.
