Honda Back In F1 – As An Engine Supplier For McLaren

Honda last raced as a full-fledged team in Formula One in 2008 – but now it has agreed to come back in the somewhat limited role as an engine supplier for McLaren, replacing Mercedes. Honda will replace Mercedes as the engine supplier for McLaren and will only supply the McLaren team with engines for both 2015 and 2016.

Honda has been involved with F1 three times, from 1964-68 as a full team [winning two races], from 1983-92 as an engine supplier [to McLaren and Williams, winning 69 races total] and from 2000-08 as both a full team and engine supplier [winning one race].
