Honda is channeling their successful off-road racing past in their newest promotion for their 2024 TrailSport lineup which includes the 2024 Honda Ridgeline, Passport and Pilot.
Honda won the Dakar Rally four times in the late 1980s and the prestigious Baja 1000 classic off-road race 17 years in a row from 1997 to 2013.
More recently, Honda again won the Dakar Rally in 2020 pandemic year as well as 2021, while also winning the newly-created World Rally-Raid Championships in 2022 and 2023.
“Chasing Greatness” highlights the Passport TrailSport as well as the seven-passenger Pilot TrailSport and features the debut of the new Ridgeline TrailSport.
The 30-second promotional spot is accompanied by music from British musical artist Bishop Briggs [aka Sarah McLaughlin], who is a Honda Pilot owner and whose debut musical offering “Wild Horses” reached #1 on Spotify’s U.S. Viral Chart in 2015 after it was featured in American Honda luxury brand Acura’s ad campaign that year.
