James May’s Unemployment Tube Hits Its First Million

Less than a month after the unfortunate demise of the best version of “Top Gear” humanity will ever know, one of the former BBC show’s presenters, James May – aka Captain Slow – has already ensnared that elusive prey called success. A little more than a week ago, May, recently made jobless after his co-presenter, Jeremy Clarkson’s now-infamous fracas with a show producer hastened the death of the show, started his personal YouTube channel and entitled it “James May’s Unemployment Tube”. After a mere three entries, consisting of a pair of tunes played on his recorder [“Greensleeves” and “British Grenadiers” – the former played with a hangover…] and a five-part series detailing how to make a proper Shepherd’s Pie, May has successfully corralled one million viewers to his jobless channel though – in very May-like fashion – has decided against monetizing the channel.
