Jimmie Johnson won the Folds of Honor Quiktrip 500 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, holding off Kevin Harvick and Dale Earhardt, Jr. while Daytona 500 winner, Joey Logano, finished fourth. Jeff Gordon, who announced his retirement at the conclusion of the NASCAR racing season this year, crashed out and finished 41st overall.
After two races, a mere four points separates the top four in the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Series standings with Logano holding onto the slim lead with 88 points, Johnson close behind at 87 points, followed by Harvick with 86 points and Earnhardt, Jr. with 84 points.
