Kasey Kahne held off Matt Kenseth by just over a half-second to win the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Oral-B 500 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway – it was Kahne’s 17th career win but his first win of the 2014 season. Denny Hamlin finished third and Danica Patrick finished sixth – her best-ever Sprint Cup finish.
Tony Stewart, making his first start since a Sprint car incident resulting in the death of kevin Ward, Jr. last month, hit the wall after Kyle Busch collided with him in Lap 122 and a flat tire on a subsequent lap ended his evening in 41st place.
