Ken Block Killed In Snowmobile Accident
American rally driver and YouTube star Ken Block has died in a snowmobile accident in Utah at the age of 55.
After being a competitive rally driver, Block gained fame later in life for his 10-part “Gymkhana” video series on YouTube, which featured Block performing daring racing feats and garnering nearly two million subscribers. From that fame, Block formed Hoonigan Industries and also co-founded the skate-wear clothing brand DC Shoes.
Block was riding a snowmobile up a steep slope in Wasatch County, Utah, when the vehicle upended, landing on top of him, according to a report from the local sheriff’s office. He was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he sustained.
Block is survived by his wife, Lucy, and three children.
