In somewhat of a surprise – that it took this long – the seemingly contractually obligated addition of the Korean Grand Prix to the 2015 Formula One race schedule was officially removed.
The Korean Grand Prix had been previously held from 2010-13 but financial wrangling and disagreements between the organizers and F1 chief, Bernie Ecclestone, kept it off the 2014 calendar.
The 2015 Korean Grand Prix was to have taken place at Yeongam on May 3, 2015.
