Kyle Busch Out Of Daytona 500 After Crash

Kyle Busch is out of today’s season-opening Daytona 500 NASCAR race after crashing in the lower level Xfinity series race at the track while preparing for today’s race. The crash of his car into a non-protected concrete infield wall broke his leg and foot and knocked him out of today’s race. Busch’s spot will be taken by Matt Crafton, a two-time NASCAR truck racing series champion who will be making his Daytona 500 debut.

Kyle Busch’s absence coupled with his brother, Kurt’s suspension earlier in the week for assault on his former girlfriend, means the Daytona 500 will be without either one of the racing Busch brothers for the first time since 2000.
