Lando Norris Claims Pole Position For 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix Sprint Race

McLaren’s Lando Norris claimed pole position for today’s 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix sprint race.

The first qualifying session saw Alpine’s Esteban Ocon spin out and clip Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso in the process. The spin eliminated Ocon from the session.

The second qualifying session saw Norris as the fastest while Aston Martin elected not to send Alonso out due to the damage sustained in the hit from Ocon in the previous qualifying session.

The third session again saw Norris go fastest – edging out both Red Bulls and both Mercedes – though the second McLaren of Oscar Piastri was unable to match the result.
