Finland’s Jari-Matti Latvala took the lead in Day Two and never looked back in winning the 2014 Rally Sweden – his third Swedish win of his career – and also take the overall lead in the 2014 World rally Championship. Latvala defeated his Volkswagen teammate, Norwegian Andreas Mikkelsen by 53.6 seconds with Norwegian Mads Ostberg claiming third in his Citroen, 5.9 seconds further back. Latvala leads the 2014 WRC overall points standings with 40 points with defending champion Sebastien Ogier in second with 35 and Ostberg in third with 30 points
