Logano Wins Drama-Filled Richmond Race

The Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR race at Richmond International Speedway started with a crash and ended with surprise winner – Joey Logano – winning his first-ever race at Richmond in six attempts. The race began ominously as rookie pole-sitter was sent careening on the race’s first lap by Clint Bowyer, effectively knocking Larson out of contention [though he would later finish 16th] and setting up a massive four-way battle for the win at the end between Brad Keselowski, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon and Logano. While the other three were jostling for high position on the final turn, Logano took the low road to the lead and victory, his second of the year.

The happy winner, Joey Logano.

Gordon finished second and Kyle Busch snuck in for third after Keselowski was perturbed with Kenseth and brake-checked him at the end, throwing Keselowski into fourth and Kenseth into fifth.
