Pastor Maldonado had a good testing session in Barcelona last week as he was the fastest in two of the four testing days in the 2015 Formula One season’s second testing sessions prior to the opening race in Australia next month. After being fastest on the Catalunya track in the first day of testing, Maldonado bested the field again for Lotus on the third day, turning in a lap time of 1:24.3, easily beating Toro Rosso’s teenage rookie Max Verstappen at 1:24.7 while defending champion Lewis Hamilton clocked a 1:26 as the third-fastest on the day.
