The operating company of Manor Racing was placed in administration – the USA equivalent of bankruptcy – on Friday. Manor finished in its familiar last place position in the 2016 Formula One constructors’ championship last season and has been seeking new investors.
Manor – when it was known as Marussia – also went into administration in 2014.
Manor is not expected to have the ability to form an adequate racing team in time for the Australian Grand Prix, the Formula One season opener at Melbourne on March 26, 2017.
