Mark Webber Retires From Racing

Porsche Team: Mark Webber

40 was the magic number for famed Australian racing driver, Mark Webber, as he announced that he will retire from racing at the end of the current FIA World Endurance Championship season at the Six Hours of Bahrain in November 2016.

Webber, along with teammates Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley, won the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship with Porsche and has seven WEC wins to his credit, to go along with the nine Formula One wins [in 215 Grand Prix starts] he also has in his illustrious racing career.

Webber has indicated that he will remain as a Porsche ambassador at global events and as a consultant.
