Maserati Kisses The Sky With MC20 Spyder
Maserati has turned the world upside down and has it pointing toward the sky with the release of their MC20 Cielo Spyder – “Cielo” is Italian for “sky”.
The Maserati MC20 Cielo Spyder has electrochromic “Smart Glass” which – it is claimed – either can block the sun or allow sunlight with the touch of a button and Maserati’s system will default to a fully opaque setting when power is not being fed to the system – a crucial element for a Spyder.
For the performance numerals, Maserati claims the MC20 Cielo Spyder goes from zero to 62 mph in approximately three seconds flat, while touting a top speed above 199 mph thanks to a twin-turbocharged Nettuno V-6 producing 8,000 rpm and 621 hp.
The official three-layer metallic color of the Maserati MC20 Spyder depicted above is Acquamarina, and the 2023 Maserati MC20 Cielo Spyder is expected to be available in the USA in late 2022.
