Massive Chinese Explosion Claims Lives And Volkswagens

Yesterday’s massive liquid hydrocarbon-enhanced 21-ton explosion at a shipyard in Tianjin, China, claimed 44 lives as well as thousands of Volkswagens waiting to be shipped to their destinations. According to officials, the total vehicle loss for Volkswagen [and their insurance company] was 2748 vehicles burnt to a crisp.

Volkswagen’s SUV Touaregs took the biggest hit, with 1065 succumbing to the explosion.
