Matt LeBlanc Signs On For That Other Motoring Show

After months of speculation as to whether or not his new CBS show “Man with a Plan” would interfere with his possible motoring show hosting duties, Matt LeBlanc has ended the speculation and signed on to be host of BBC’s latest version of the struggling “Top Gear” franchise.

LeBlanc has signed up for two series – the 24th and 25th – of the long-running BBC motoring show, which suffered a massive ratings decline upon the departure of longtime co-presenters, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. LeBlanc will be joined by a cast that will include motoring enthusiasts Chris Harris and Rory Reid, along with occasional appearances from Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz and, of course, The Stig.

No launch date was announced for the 24th series of “Top Gear” but it is expected to be in 2017.
