Max Verstappen Claims Pole Position For 2019 Mexican Grand Prix

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen put in the fastest lap in the third round of the qualifying session to snag pole position away from Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and prevent a Ferrari lockout of the front row as Leclerc’s Ferrari teammate, Sebastian Vettel, was third-fastest.

The Mercedes of both defending champion Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas could not keep pace with the Verstappen and the Ferraris and will start fourth and sixth, respectively – with Red Bull’s other driver, Alexander Albon, sandwiched in between them.
