Max Verstappen Claims Pole Position For 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen claimed pole position for tomorrow’s 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, edging out Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and McLaren’s Oscar Piastri in the qualifying session.

Verstappen was fastest in all three qualifying sessions as the first qualifying session saw Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, Jr. get eliminated and he will start in 16th for the race.

The second qualifying session saw seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton get eliminated and he will start in 11th for the race, just behind Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate, Sergio Perez, who will start ninth after having a lap time deleted in the third qualifying session.
