Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was fastest in all three sessions of the sprint shootout qualifier and claimed pole position for this afternoon’s sprint race at the 2023 USA Grand Prix.
The only drama occurred when Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso was again eliminated early in the qualifying sessions as he was yesterday in the qualifying session for the grand prix. Alonso currently sits third behind seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton in the driver’s standings for the season.
