Max Verstappen Claims Pole Position In Wet, Wild And Woolly Qualifying Session For 2021 Belgian Grand Prix

Rainy weather wrecked havoc in the qualifying session for tomorrow’s 2021 Belgian Grand Prix as Red Bull’s Max Verstappen claimed pole position over a surprising second-place finish from Williams’ George Russell with Mercedes’ seven-time defending Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton starting the race in third place.

McLaren’s Lando Norris crashed at the beginning of the session and did not record a time and was placed ninth but will start in 14th position tomorrow after receiving a five-place grid penalty for a new gearbox.
