Mercedes Continues Domination In FP2 For 2020 Spanish Grand Prix

Mercedes continued their domination at the 2020 Spanish Grand Prix as they, once again, recorded the fastest times in the second practice session.

As they did in the first practice session, Mercedes was fastest – the only difference this time was the order was switched – with Formula One six-time defending world champion Lewis Hamilton recording the fastest lap time while his teammate Valtteri Bottas was second-fastest by a mere 0.287 seconds.

The best of the rest were led by Red Bull’s Max Verstappen [0.821 seconds off, in third], Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo [fourth], Haas’ Romain Grosjean [fifth].

Sergio Perez returned for Racing Point – after a two-race absence due to contracting coronavirus – and he finished the session eighth at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
