Mercedes-Benz embraces the wind as they tell you about their 2022 sustainable initiative – using electricity drawn entirely from renewable energy sources for factories owned and operated by Mercedes-Benz AG.
In Germany, that initiative applies to passenger car production plants as well as for all Daimler sites and all van, truck and bus factories including central and administrative units – totaling more than 100 locations. The electricity being used is a green power mix derived from a combination of solar, wind and hydro power.
Filmed in Slovenia in October 2020, the film emphasizes Mercedes-Benz’s employment of green energy symbolized by the three points of the Mercedes star transformed into a wind turbine.
