Defending Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton has signed a new one-year contract with Mercedes for the 2021 season – his ninth with Mercedes.
The 36-year-old Hamilton has won seven F1 world titles – six at Mercedes, one at McLaren – and holds the all-time win record.
The duration of the contract is reported to be a mutual request and includes Mercedes and Hamilton establishing a foundation on inclusivity and diversity.
The 2021 F1 season begins with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 28, 2021.
