Mercedes Wins Malaysia As Hamilton And Rosberg Go 1-2

Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg celebrate as Mercedes went 1-2 in Malaysia.

First it was Nico Rosberg winning in Australia and now it is Lewis Hamilton winning in Malaysia – it has been a good start to the 2014 Formula One racing season for Team Mercedes. After Rosberg won in Australia to open the season last month, Hamilton followed up by winning on the Sepang track in Malaysia this weekend, taking the the 2014 Malaysia Grand Prix title by 17.3 seconds over his teammate, Rosberg. Third place went to three-time defending champion Sebastian Vettel – 24.5 seconds further back – as Red Bull continued to sort through various mechanical issues keeping them from being competitive so far in 2014.

Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg celebrate as Mercedes went 1-2 in Malaysia.

The 1-2 finish from Mercedes was the first for the team since the 1955 Italian Grand Prix.

Now it is back to Bahrain for the third race of the 2014 season at the familiar Sakhir track, on April 6, 2014.
