Mercedes Wins Spanish Grand Prix As Hamilton And Rosberg Go 1-2…Again

Lather, rinse, repeat. Mercedes wins another 2014 Formula One Grand Prix event. This time, it is the Spanish Grand Prix as Mercedes went 1-2 yet again with Lewis Hamilton finishing first and teammate Nico Rosberg finishing just more than a half second back in second at the 2014 Spanish Grand Prix in Catalunya, Spain. Even the more exciting race to see who finishes third is becoming predictable and boring as Australian Daniel Ricciardo filled out the podium while four-time defending champion Sebastian Vettel provided the only drama in the race by coming all the way back from 15th place to finish fourth.

In the season point standings, Hamilton finally overtakes Rosberg for the season lead with 100 points to Rosberg’s 97 followed by Fernando Alonso in third with 49 points.

The 2014 Formula One racing season continues with the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo, Monaco on May 25, 2014.
