Minis Dominating Dakar

Robby Gordon currently sits in 21st overall in the Dakar Rally.

Minis were all the rage in rally car racing when they were first introduced decades ago and they remain the rage today if the recent results from the Dakar Rally in Bolivia are any indication. After the sixth stage and with today being a rest day, Minis occupy the top three spots as well as seven of the top 10 spots in the race with Spaniard driver Nani Roma and French navigator Michel Perin leading the way.

The highest ranked American is Robby Gordon, coming in at 21st overall in his HST with his navigator, Kellon Walch, after a third-place sixth stage finish, 12 seconds behind Roma and Perin.
