Mitsubishi To Launch 2018 Eclipse Cross On Monday – Day Of The Actual Total Eclipse

When you have a vehicle named the “Eclipse”, then it seems to be a no-brainer to take advantage of that when there is a massively-hyped total solar eclipse on the way – and Mitsubishi Motors is doing just that with their plan to promote the launch of its new 2018 Eclipse Cross.

Mitsubishi will be live-streaming from solar eclipse central – Salem, Oregon (starting a 9 a.m. PDT on Monday, August 21, 2017) – where they will be attempting to capture both the actual eclipse and the vehicle Eclipses in the same shot during the 1:57 duration of the once-in-a-lifetime event. Salem was chosen because it is one of the first USA cities that will experience the total eclipse – and likely because it is the largest city in Oregon directly in the path of complete totality.

Not coincidentally, Mitsubishi is the exclusive sponsor of ABC News’ live coverage of the eclipse and the new vehicle will be featured on “Good Morning America” that day, with footage of the vehicle during the total eclipse airing exclusively on ABC and live-streaming available on the Facebook pages of ABCNews.com and Good Morning America. Additionally, Mitsubishi will be hosting social media influencers from 10 different countries to be onsite just south of Salem.
