Monaco Will Allow 7500 For The 2021 Monaco Grand Prix

Monaco will be allowing a lucky 7500 spectators – representing 40% of their capacity – into the grandstands for this month’s 2021 Monaco Grand Prix. The Mediterranean principality said that limit will apply for all three days of the Grand Prix weekend – May 20, 22 and 23 – and there will be no restriction on the country of origin of those attending the event.

On the non-Formula One racing day of Friday, May 21 – when there will be other events scheduled on the track – the maximum capacity will be limited to 3,000 people.

All spectators will be required to test negative for Covid-19 no more than 72 hours prior to attending the event and be required to furnish proof of that negative result at the track.

There were no spectators allowed at either of the last two F1 races of the season – the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and the Portuguese Grand Prix last weekend – while Bahrain allowed 4,500 spectators to attend the F1 season-opening race in March, albeit, only to those who had been previously vaccinated against or recovered from Covid-19.

This weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix is expecting to allow 1000 circuit members to attend the race in Barcelona on Sunday.
