Monisha Kaltenborn Booted Out of Sauber

Monisha Kaltenborn, the team boss at Sauber for the last five years, has been booted out of that role after a disagreement with Swiss finance owners, Longbow Finance.

Originally given the team boss role by team founder Peter Sauber after he retired, the 46-year-old was Formula One’s first and only female team boss.

Sauber has been a Formula One team since 1993, but were bought by the Swiss finance group last year.

After seven races, Sauber, using Ferrari engines [though they will be switching to Honda in 2018], currently sit ninth of 10 teams in the F1 constructors’ championship – only ahead of pointless McLaren.
