Most Automakers Show Support For Ukraine

Volkswagen Group, Stellantis [subsidiaries include Dodge, Chrysler, Citroen, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot] and Mercedes-Benz are all aiding Ukraine after the invasion by Russia with each of the companies donating one million euros ($1.1 million) to Ukraine support groups. Stellantis still has 71 employees based in Ukraine.

Ford is flying the Ukrainian flag at its world headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, and has suspended their limited operations in Russia and also sent $100,000 to the Global Giving Ukraine Relief Fund.

Tesla is making supercharger is making superchargers free for people fleeing Ukraine. The chargers can be used by both Tesla and non-Tesla electric vehicles and are located in four cities in bordering Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.

Hyundai remains one of the few holdouts, having suspended operations in St. Petersburg – but syaing they intend to resume production on March 9, 2022.
