Texas motorcyclist Bobby Goodin had just crossed the finish line at the 2014 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb but had apparently misjudged his finishing speed in the gravel and was flung into an adjacent boulder field where he sustained injuries that claimed his life.
Goodin, who was racing on the course for only the second time in his career, became the first motorcycle racer to die at Pikes Peak since 1982.
