If you didn’t know any better, the new trailer issued by the BBC for the upcoming first season of the non-Jeremy Clarkson, non-Richard Hammond and non-James May version of “Top Gear” would have convinced you that it was a promo for the much-reviled Top Gear USA, what with the music and omnipresence of the American flag and Matt LeBlanc. The only saving grace is Sabine Schmitz telling new host Chris Evans to get out of the car to puke. Now that’s classic “Top Gear” stuff right there…
