Nissan Tries To Link Your Brain To Your Car

Nissan will be revealing their new B2V (Brain-To-Vehicle) technology at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show [CES] next week in Las Vegas.

Nissan’s B2V seeks to interpret signals from a vehicle driver’s brain and is intended to speed up reaction times for said drivers. The B2V uses brain decoding technology to predict a driver’s actions and detect discomfort.

Examples of driver action prediction might occur in situations where Nissan’s B2V technology could predict an action in advance, such as a driver about to turn the steering wheel or press the gas pedal. The driver assist technology then can begin the action more quickly, generally up to half a second faster than the driver. By analyzing and evaluating driver discomfort, artificial intelligence can alter driving configurations when in autonomous mode.
