Defending World Rally Championship [WRC] champion Sebastien Ogier held on to the lead after the second day of the 2014 Rally Mexico. Frenchman Ogier, driving a Volkswagen, had a commanding one minute lead over his VW teammate, Jari-Matti Latvala, while Thierry Neuville in a Hyundai moved into third on the day, 4:37.5 seconds back after then-second-place Swede Mads Ostberg made an error in his pace notes, crashed his Citroen and broke its suspension.
Rally Mexico is the second race in the 2014 WRC racing season.
