Party In Montreal This Weekend

Formula One’s traveling circus comes to Montreal this weekend for the next race on the 2014 schedule, the Canadian Grand Prix, and – barring mechanical or driving failures – with the winning race results a foregone conclusion due to Mercedes’ dominance, perhaps the only way to make the race weekend more exciting is by pre-functioning on Friday and Saturday so you can snooze through the race on Sunday. The party in Montreal begins as it usually does in Montreal, at Crescent Street, where a three-day party begins on Thursday featuring live music, a pit stop challenge, driver autograph sessions and luxury car appearances.

On the same days, a mere four blocks away on Peel Street, is a similar party atmosphere where even more exotic cars will be making appearances along with the ubiquitous F1-inspired scantily-clad models roaming around purporting to be performing fashion shows. In addition, nearby St. Laurent Blvd. will be closed for those same four days and feature a modified car exhibit and car-themed sculptures and St. Paul Street will be dubbed a F1-themed food zone.

The 2014 Canadian Grand Prix takes place in Montreal on Sunday, June 8, 2014.
