Raikkonen Stays Put At Ferrari For 2016

After media speculation had all but anointed Williams driver Valtteri Bottas as Ferrari’s other driver along with Sebastian Vettel for the 2016 season, the racing team announced today that they would keep Kimi Raikkonen as Vettel’s teammate – for at least one more year. The mercurial Finn, who won the world championship in 2007, has had a rough year so far and currently sits in a distant fifth position in the driver standings with only 76 points, far behind the current season leading 202 points of Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton.

The 2015 Formula One season continues with the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps at 5 a.m. [PDT] on NBCSN on August 23, 2015.
