Red Bull was fastest in a somewhat ragged first practice session for this weekend’s 2023 Mexican Grand Prix, with Max Verstappen doing the honors.
Five new drivers were awarded first practice session attempts but Theo Pourchaire – the current Formula 2 points leader – was running for Alfa Romeo and experienced a gearbox issue.
